Directions from Faro to Vaucosta Algarve Apartments, Portugal

Directions by car/taxi, from Faro airport to Apartment Vaucosta
( Approx 60km by motorway - 1 hour easy driving. Taxi cost approx 60 euros )

Leave the airport by the only way out.
After approx 1km you will go onto flyover.
Look out for a large blue directional road sign showing ( IP1 ) A22 Lisboa/Portimao.
Follow the signs directing you to A22 Lisboa/Portimao.
You will join a dual carriageway.
After approx 5kms you will again see the A22 Lisboa/Portimao sign.
Take the left hand lane and watch out for a small blue A22 sign.
After approx 3kms you will see an A22 Lisboa/Espanha sign.
Follow this sign.
After approx 2 kms the road will divide and you need to follow the signs for Lisboa.
The next turn right you require comes up quite quickly.
You need to watch out for and follow the signs to Lisboa/Albufeira.
Following this sign will mean you are now travelling West on the A22 in the direction of Lisboa/Portimao/Albufeira.
Continue along the A22 to Junction 4 following the signs to Lagos/Portimao/Albufeira even though you will see a turn off directing you towards Lisboa on the A2. Do not take this turn off as it will take you North.

At Junction four on the A22 leave the motorway and follow the signs to Alvor.
Proceed to roundabout number 1.
Go straight over this roundabout and under the old N125.
This will bring you to roundabout number 2.
Go straight over roundabout number 2 and after approx 1km take your first left – signposted to Portimao.
Follow this road for approx 3kms past the Leclerc supermarket on your left to roundabout number 3.
At roundabout number 3 turn right. The roads from roundabout number 3 to roundabout number 9 are all dual carriageways.
Follow the road past the police station on your right to the next roundabout – number 4.
Go straight over roundabout number 4.
Follow this road, passing Modelo supermarket on your left and Lidl supermarket and Macdonalds on your right at roundabout number 5.
Go straight over roundabout number 5 to roundabout number 6.
Proceed over roundabout number 6 and follow the road to roundabout number 7.
Roundabout number 7 is actually on the sea front and has a large fountain in the middle of it.
At roundabout number 7 turn right.
Proceed to roundabout number 8.
Proceed straight over roundabout number 8 and continue to roundabout number 9 – passing the Vaucosta apartments on your left.
Because of the dual carriageway it is not possible to turn directly left into the apartment complex as you leave roundabout number 8.
Proceed all the way round roundabout number 9 and drive back down the other side of the dual carriageway.
Just before you get back to roundabout number 8 there is a right turn up a slight slope to the front car park of Vaucosta apartments.
Reception is at the front of the building.
